Where you sleep well in Jávea

Jávea has deliberately stayed low-rise and counts only a handful of hotels; most visitors stay in a villa or apartment. We have run every one of those hotels past the reviews, and for anyone who would rather rent a house, we explain how to go about it wisely.

Ritual de Terra Resort & Spa

The former El Rodat carried on as Ritual de Terra: thirty-four suites among the pines, a serious spa and the restaurant MADRE under chef Nazario Cano. Guests particularly praise the spacious suites with terraces and the gardens. In fairness, there is the occasional grumble about the restaurant prices, so come for the peace and the spa and decide for yourself where to eat.

Renting a villa or apartment

The real Jávea feeling is a house with its own pool among the pines, and the choice is enormous: many thousands of villas and apartments. Book through a platform with genuine guest reviews and pay close attention to the distance to the sea, because from the hills you end up driving everywhere.

If you would rather book with a local rental agency, pick one with recent, verifiable reviews and a clear contract. The big local names are not all equally consistent in their service.
